Koshi Egami's first public art piece in Japan is unveiled in Otemachi: "Otemachi One: Parallel Lines Tell the Story of the Fate of Faces"
Art that explores the essence of communication
" Otemachi One: The Fate of Faces as Told by Parallel Lines ," a public art event themed on portraits and communication, produced by Etsu Egami, will be held at Otemachi One , a multi-purpose complex directly connected to Otemachi Station, from September 28th (Monday) to December 25th (Friday), 2026. Based on her formative experiences living abroad, Egami is an artist who explores the "essence of communication" through art, focusing on the "discrepancies" and "misunderstandings" that arise from differences in language and culture. She was selected as the youngest artist for Forbes Asia's "30 Under 30 (30 people under 30 who are changing the world)," and in 2024, her work was exhibited at the "Miss Dior Exhibition," which was acquired by DIOR, earning her high praise both domestically and internationally.
This is Egami's first public art exhibition in Japan, an attempt to expand the worldview of his portraits, which he has previously painted in two dimensions, into three-dimensional forms and extend them throughout the entire venue. The exhibition unfolds on the lawn of the venue's garden, the lobby and windows inside the building, and the entrance to the office building. Using a variety of techniques such as three-dimensional works, paintings, and window wrapping, he connects the indoors and outdoors into a single world of art.

Egami
Artist, painter, and visiting professor at Kyorin University School of Medicine.
Drawing on her experiences abroad, she focuses on the discrepancies in perception arising from differences in language and culture, depicting the essence of communication with bold lines and vibrant, rainbow-like colors. In 2021, she was sent to New York as an emerging artist by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, and in the same year, she was selected as the youngest artist for Forbes Asia's "30 UNDER 30 (30 people under 30 who are changing the world)." In 2022, she was selected as one of NET-A-PORTER's "6 women who are changing the art world." In 2024, she exhibited her work at the "Miss Dior Exhibition," which was acquired by DIOR, and her work was also exhibited at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. In 2025, she received the "Art Karlsruhe Prize 2025," the highest award at the international art fair "Art Karlsruhe," and her work was acquired by the Karlsruhe State Art Museum in Germany, receiving high international acclaim.
Furthermore, beyond creating artwork, she is also involved in activities that expand the possibilities of communication through art, such as art therapy and workshops.
