Embarking on a New Phase

Dr. André exudes enthusiasm discussing the inception of a fresh chapter for the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Over the years, he, alongside his team, has been instrumental in laying the museum's foundation. The focus now pivots to enhancing its content. A key objective is fostering research initiatives, acknowledging their vital role in a museum's progression.

The team also aspires to continually expand and refine their collections, aiming not for volume but for a curated array of masterpieces epitomizing global civilizations. Dr. André underscores the practice of periodically refreshing the semi-permanent galleries and organizing several major exhibitions annually. Integrating research amplifies the museum's capacity to delve into global art history.

Dr. André also emphasizes the need to extend the museum's global reach through publications and conferences. He hints at potentially activating the adjacent park and speaks of ongoing efforts to bolster the museum's staff through recruitment and training, while also looking forward to the rise of neighboring cultural institutions.
